I really like how the book has been so far. I really like how Sam is nice to animals, and how he can survive through the winter. If I lived like Sam I would not be able to survive the winter because I hate being cold, and I don't think I could live in a tree. Also, I like how he takes care of Frightful. Plus I dislike how Sam steals the person's deer, but I can't blame him because I would do the same thing if I was Sam. Lastly, I like how Sam thinks because if you lived in the woods you would need to be careful so you knew what to do.
I like the book so far. I like it because he starts in the middle and has a flash back. I also like it because he is sneaky. Another reason I like it is because they tell you everything that happens. That's why I like him
So far the book is really good. I like how Sam treats the animals like his family. Also he can survive no matter what the conditions are. He is very clever by cover the the deer, that is very clever and then the hunters never get their prizes. If I was Sam I would do the same thing, because that's pretty much the only thing he can do when it's deer season. I like that whenever he needs to know something he's not afraid just to walk into town and go to the library. What if he got caught. The last thing I really like about Sam is how he never gives up on anything. What I dislike is the book has never mentioned anything about the family yet. What I dislike about Sam is how he rarely goes hunting, there should be more suspense in the story everybody would like it more. Also I dislike that when there is a person around he always hides. If he made friends they could help him survive and maybe even get meat for him then Sam could cook it and live good.
I really like the book so far because he can hunt and survive in the wild. He lives in the woods and in a tree house. I also like the story because he can run and hide from people. I like how Sam made a pet named frightful. I like how he makes clothes and other thing in the wild. I also like the book because he had a Halloween party with the animals. I dislike Sam because he did not tell the hunters that he was there, so the hunters might mistake that he is a deer, and the story will end there.
I think the book so far is good and interesting. I like that Sam has a pet hawk that is trained and its name is, Frightful. He also knows how to make cloths out of animal skins. I like how he knows how to stay out of sight for hunters. I dislike Sam because he ran away from home and his family probably doesn't know where he is and they are probably scared.
I like the book a lot so far. I like that he live in the wild and knows a lot about the wild and nature. It must be a little hard living in the wild. It is cool that he has frightful if he didn't have frightful he might not have as many small game as he dose. He might not also have the rabbit fur underwear. It is lucky to get four deer and know how to tan them and so to make clothes. It must be cool living in the woods.
I think the book is GREAT so far! I like that Sam is nice and clever like when he climbed the tree to see where the doe fell when the hunter shot him. Also, I like about Sam is that he has the craziest ideas like when he left food for wild animals. What I dislike about Sam is that he ran away from his family. I would NEVER leave my family! Also, I dislike Sam because he took a baby hawk from his family. That's what I like about the story and what I like and dislike about Sam. :)
I like the book so far. I like it because it uses interesting knowledge about trees I might try. He does things I never knew someone could do. I'm surprised how much he's done. Like for food, acorn pancakes . My favorite part of all is that he's only 11.
I think the book is awesome so far. I Like that he I living on his own and is only like ten years old. I also like that he knows how to hunt for animals and that he still goes to the library and he lives in the woods. What I dislike about the story is that he stole a baby bird and ran away from home. He should have just asked if his family they could move. He shouldn't of run away that's was wrong and I can't believe he didn't go back yet. That's what I think and what I like and dislike about the story.
